Job: Mayor of Jackson since 1993. Local realtor since 1994.
What do you like most about the area? The friendly people and the changing seasons.
Favorite food: I'm a simple eater. Meat and potatoes is my favorite. Any type of barbecue is great in the summer.
Favorite TV show: "The Practice" in the fall and winter, Cardinals baseball in the spring and summer and "The Andy Griffith Show" reruns.
Best Advice: Do the best you can at everything you do and don't worry so much about the small stuff.
Person you most admire: My late father, Leonard F. Sander. He was honest, hard-working and as fair a person as anyone could be.
What would you do if you won the lottery? I wouldn't change much. Pay for my sons' education, travel more and look for ways to invest in the needs of Jackson.
Pet peeve: That's easy -- folks who poke along in the passing lane on Highway 61 between Jackson and Cape.
