Family: Wife, Pam (21 years); two sons, Sam, 14 is a freshman at Jackson Jr. High and Spencer, 10 is a fourth-grader at South Elementary in Jackson. Most of my other family members are long time Jackson-area residents.

Job: Mayor of Jackson since 1993. Local realtor since 1994.

Favorite TV show: "The Practice" in the fall and winter, Cardinals baseball in the spring and summer and "The Andy Griffith Show" reruns.

Best Advice: Do the best you can at everything you do and don't worry so much about the small stuff.

Person you most admire: My late father, Leonard F. Sander. He was honest, hard-working and as fair a person as anyone could be.

What would you do if you won the lottery? I wouldn't change much. Pay for my sons' education, travel more and look for ways to invest in the needs of Jackson.

Pet peeve: That's easy -- folks who poke along in the passing lane on Highway 61 between Jackson and Cape.
