* Name: Amy Jacquin...

* Name: Amy Jacquin

* Lives in: I live on a little farm in Cape Girardeau County, between Millersville and Oak Ridge.

* Family: My husband is Jeff Banken of Dexter, and I have two stepchildren.

* Job: As an anchor/reporter for KFVS12 Heartland News, I get a chance to travel the region and talk with interesting people. It's wonderful to have a job telling stories.

* What do you like most about the area? Cape County reminds me of my hometown area of Washington, Mo. It's right on a big river, with rolling hills and lots of steams. But the people make this area special; they're salt-of-the-earth, generous people who put their faith into action.

* Favorite food: I wish I didn't have so many "favorite" foods. Chocolate, Italian dishes with red sauce, breads, pasta, potatoes É see my dilemma?

* Favorite TV show: Here's something ironic É Even though my job puts me on air, I don't really watch too much TV. Put it this way, I don't record anything. But I do enjoy dramas like "Cold Case," "CSI," "24," and "Judging Amy." I also catch a lot of football, baseball and college basketball, thanks to my husband. Plus, I turn to Animal Planet frequently. Right now, other than "Everybody Loves Raymond," there aren't any comedies I find appealing.

* Best advice: Thank God for every day, and share your smiles.

* Person you most admire: I don't admire one person, but rather a personality trait É people who are accepting of others, and who don't judge or gossip.

* What would you do if you won the lottery? If I won the lottery I'd make sure to save/invest first. Then I'd give to church and family. Next, I'd build a new home on our farm and buy more property around it so my husband could farm full-time. Then I'd fund an indoor arena for Mississippi Valley Therapeutic Horsemanship and set-up an account to hire staffing. Other worthwhile organizations would benefit, like Horizons Enrichment Center, the Humane Society and CASA. If possible, I'd quit my job and spend my time volunteering and writing a novel.

* Pet Peeve: One of my pet peeves is when people don't put things back where they belong.
