What do you like most about the area? Having been away for a decade, I really longed for the area's countryside. Our previous residence at Champaign, Ill., lacked trees and hills. It's good to be back.

Favorite food: Anything these days.

Favorite TV show: "Judging Amy."

Best advice: Take one day at a time -- lung cancer teaches you that!

Person you most admire: My husband, who helped me fight lung cancer and win.

What would you do if you won the lottery? I'd probably help the elderly with medication costs. They really are cheated when it comes to the cost of daily living.

Pet peeve: Tapping of the fingers. It drives me crazy!
