What do you like most about the area? This area has more than its fair share of people who have good, old-fashioned American ideals: family values, honesty, hard work, pride in workmanship and more. The people here are America at its best.

Favorite food: Grilled salmon.

Favorite TV show: It's a toss-up between "Ed" and "American Dreams."

Best advice: Never compare yourself to others.

Person you most admire: My wife, Melanie -- she always knows the right thing to say or do and avoids saying or doing anything else.

What would you do if you won the lottery? I'd pack a lot of cheap briefcases, including $20,000 in small bills in each. While traveling I'd look for people to whom $20,000 in cash could make a real difference ... and give it to them.

Pet peeve: Bad drivers: the ones who don't use turn signals, drive slowly in the left lane or race to beat the red light.
