CASA now accepting applications for fall

Court Appointed Special Advocates is now accepting applications for fall training classes beginning Sept. 25. Classes are from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, Sept. 25 to Nov. 8 at Dempster Hall on the Southeast Missouri State University campus. Riverside Regional Library offers art class

Sponsored by the Friends of the Library, a class on drawing and basic art will be directed by Kelly Hughes of the Open Window Studio on Sept. 26 at Riverside Regional Library, 204 S. Union Ave. in Jackson. Participants may choose from a 10 a.m. or 6:30 p.m. session. The class, for ages 9 to adult, will give participants a chance to learn more about art and to explore their creativity. A discount will be given to members of the Friends of the Riverside Regional Library at Jackson. Supplies will be furnished. Space is limited. Register at the library circulation desk or by calling the library at 243-8141.
