A two-day workshop on cork-decoy making will be held from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Nature Center. A refundable registration fee is required with sign up. The workshop is for anyone 14 and older. From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, "Ducks of Missouri" will be presented for visitors to discover and learn to identify different species of ducks while decoys are being made. A walk-through a maze of duck wings is also on the agenda. No registration is required and the presentation is open to all ages.
The Salvation Army will hold its annual back-to-school fair to assist with children who need school supplies from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday at 701 Good Hope St. Parents need to bring social security cards for each child or a printout if the cards are not available.
