Spring flower show to be held at the mall

The SEMO Iris Society Spring Flower Show will be held from 1 p.m. to close Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at West Park Mall. The show is open to the public.

Cape public library adds automation

The Cape Girardeau Public Library has added the automated Cassie system, which is used by libraries nationwide to free library staff for assisting patrons seeking information and library materials. The service was made possible, in part, by a $6,600 grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services, an independent federal agency.

82nd Airborne seeks veterans for convention

The 82nd Airborne Division with veteran membership from today's Special Forces and the 11th, 13th, 17th, 82nd and 101st divisions is trying to locate eligible veterans to attend a 62nd National Convention Aug. 13 through 16 in St. Louis.
