The Cape Girardeau County AARP will meet at 1:30 p.m. today at Grace United Methodist Church at Broadway and Caruthers Avenue. The program will be "Driver Safety," presented by Sharee Galmore of the Cape Girardeau Police Department Safe Communities program. There will be a drawing for a door prize.

Scott City Women in Agriculture to meet

The Scott County Women in Agriculture will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the USDA office on Highway 77 in Benton, Mo. Donna Taake, of the University of Missouri Extension Service, will give a presentation on "True Colors -- What is Your Personality?" All women are invited to attend. The group addresses topics such as gardening, cooking, farming, family activities and helping the community. For more information, contact Kay Dover at the USDA Center at 573-545-9027.

Animal rescue group seminar set for Saturday

A free seminar on the Recycling Rover rescue group for stray and unwanted dogs and cats will be held from noon to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Drop Zone at Cape Girardeau Regional Airport. Registration will be from 11:30 a.m. to noon. Debi Baker will be the guest speaker. The group's goal is to aid families who help area strays and unwanted pets. St. Augustine to hold annual trivia night

St. Augustine School will open its doors for its annual trivia night at 6 p.m. Feb. 16 in Kelso, Mo. Questions begin at 7:10 p.m. There is a cost per player, and teams consist of tables of eight. Light snacks and soda will be provided. Attendees may bring food and drink in coolers. To reserve a table, call 573-264-3050.
