Beef and fried chicken on the menu at St. Joseph picnic

St. Joseph parish will hold its homecoming and picnic from 2 to 7 p.m. Sept. 3 at Apple Creek, Mo. The event will be held rain or shine with air-conditioned dining. An all-you-can-eat buffet will serve kettle-cooked beef and fried chicken. Children under 6 years of age eat free. There will be games, bingo, raffles for prizes and a country store. Refreshments will be available, including a beer, hamburgers, fish, soda and ice cream. Dancing is free in the beer garden until 11 p.m., with music provided by Doug and Mitch. The Rev. Anthony Dattilo will preside at Saturday evening Mass at 4 p.m. Directions are: I-55 to Biehle exit, go south on Route B one mile then turn left on Route F and go five miles.)
