Salvation Army to serve Meals with Friends

The Salvation Army, 701 Good Hope St., will serve Meals with Friends from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Monday to July 27. All meals include cake or pie for dessert. Monday's menu is tacos, corn, peaches; Tuesday, turkey, sweet potatoes, green beans, cranberry sauce, biscuits and butter; Wednesday, chili dogs, baked beans, chips, applesauce; July 26, spaghetti or lasagna, mashed potatoes, peas, pears, biscuits and butter; July 27, turkey salad sandwiches, chips, mixed fruit.

Fire department supper to be held July 28

The Perkins Volunteer Fire Department will hold its 38th annual fish and chicken supper from 2 to 7 p.m. July 28 in Perkins, Mo. An auction starts at 7 p.m. There will be music and ice cream. The supper is all-you-can-eat.
