Hobbs Chapel holds annual dinner Saturday

Hobbs Chapel United Methodist Church will hold its annual chicken and dumplings and ham dinner from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday. The church is just north of the Cape Girardeau city limits on Highway 177.

Chicken and dumpling dinner set for Saturday

A chicken and dumpling dinner will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Lake Girardeau Assembly of God Church at 4581 State Highway U in Crump, Mo., sponsored by Women's Ministries.

Wesley House to hold spring dinner Tuesday

The Southeast Wesley House will celebrate its past year of ministry at Southeast Missouri State University through this United Methodist-sponsored Campus Ministry.

A Spring Celebration Dinner is scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday at Grace United Methodist Church at the corner of Broadway and Caruthers in Cape Girardeau. Gathering and fellowship begins at 5:30 p.m, dinner will start at 6 p.m.

The program includes performances by the Wesley House Student Praise Team and special guests the Rev. J. Brent Mustoe, Southeast district superintendent, and Victoria Vygodskaia Rust, an alum of Wesley and Southeast.

Free tickets are available for students, but reservations are necessary. Call 651-4550 or e-mail semowesleyhouse @charter.net or methodist @semo.edu. Transportation for university students will be provided if needed.

A chicken and dumpling dinner with all the trimmings will be served from noon to 2 p.m. May 4 at Concordia Lutheran Church, 836 Park inSikeston, Mo. (at the corner of Park and Wakefield).

A spring dinner and country store will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. May 4 at St. Lawrence Parish Center in New Hamburg, Mo.
