Wild game dinner set at Fruitland church

A wild game dinner will be at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Fruitland Community Church, 6040 U.S. 61 North in Fruitland with guest speakers from Three Timbers Outdoors Ministries. The event is free and open to the public.

Whole-hog sausage served at Daisy

A whole-hog sausage supper will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at New Salem United Methodist Fellowship Hall in Daisy. The menu includes grilled sausage, buttered potatoes, sauerkraut, green beans, applesauce, homemade bread, pie and drinks. Children 5 and younger are free; there is a discounted meal for children ages 6 to 12. The public is invited.

March 5 is Noon Optimists' chili day

The Noon Optimists will hold chili day from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. March 5 at the Arena Building in Cape Girardeau.

Fish fry at Immanuel Lutheran March 9

A fish fry will be at 3 p.m. March 9 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 496 Route F in Jackson. The menu includes baked beans, coleslaw, potato salad and chicken strips. Children younger than 6 eat free; there is a discounted price for Children ages 6 to 12. Carryouts will be available.
