The Salvation Army, 701 Good Hope St. in Cape Girardeau, will serve meals with friends at no cost from 4:30 to 6 p.m. daily next week. All meals include cake or pie for dessert. Monday's menu is spaghetti, green beans, garlic bread, applesauce; Tuesday is nachos, pork and beans, applesauce; Wednesday is ham and beans, fried potatoes, applesauce, cornbread and butter; Thursday is chili dogs, corn, applesauce; Friday is tuna or peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, chips, applesauce.

Chili and stew supper scheduled for Oct. 27

The St. John UCC annual chili and stew supper will begin at 4 p.m. Oct. 27. Children younger than 6 eat free. There will be a country store. The church is two and a half miles west of Fruitland on Route FF.
