Zion United Methodist Church of Old Appleton will serve a chili/stew supper in its fellowship hall from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Children under 6 eat free. Goodies will be for sale at the country store.

Chili supper to benefit children's center

New McKendree Methodist Church will hold a chili supper in its fellowship hall from 5 to 7 p.m. Feb. 20. Proceeds will benefit the Child Development Center in Jackson. Children 2 and under eat free.

Knights sponsoring Lenten fish dinners

The St. Joseph Council of the Knights of Columbus is sponsoring Lenten fish dinners at the council upper hall, Scott City, U.S. 61. The dinners will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Feb. 20, 28, March 7, 14, 21, 28 and April 4 and 11. Menu includes all-you-can-eat fish, coleslaw, hush puppies and baked beans. The dinner will support health-care programs at St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital and parish schools.

Auction, dinner planned at St. Henry School

A silent auction will begin at 5 p.m. Feb. 14 at St. Henry School gym in Charleston, Mo. A steak dinner will follow at 7 p.m.

Sausage breakfast to be held at St. Joseph

A sausage breakfast will be held from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Feb. 15 at St. Joseph School in Scott City.
