Area FCE clubs planning trip to Muny in St. Louis

County AARP chapter meets at Grace United

The Cape Girardeau County chapter of AARP will meet from 11:30 to 11:45 a.m. today at Grace United Methodist Church. The group will then go to Capetown Assisted Living on Route W for lunch. The program, "The Missouri Wall of Fame on the Waterfront," will be presented by artist Margaret Randol Dement.

Meeting planned at Indian Center

A meeting will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Indian Center of the Heartland, 811 Broadway. A film dealing with the Southeast Missouri State University mascot issue will be shown; future programs and events will be discussed. For more information, call 334-4929.

Crader family reunion to be held Sunday

The Crader family will hold a reunion Sunday at Cape County Park shelter four. The board of directors will meet at 9:30 a.m. to discuss the maintenance of Crader cemetery. Guests are asked to bring food and soft drinks for lunch. An auction to benefit the cemetery fund will be at 2 p.m.

Event honors organ and tissue donors

Mid-America Transplant Services and the Cape Girardeau Council of Garden Clubs will honor organ and tissue donors during a 2 p.m. ceremony Sunday at the Capaha Park Rose Garden. A pictorial memorial will be presented as well as a dedication of the Gift of Life rose beds at the park. For information, call 332-0070.

Free folk concert to be held at Bollinger Mill

The spring folk concert will start at 4:30 p.m. Sunday at Bollinger Mill State Historic Site. The concert is free. Featured entertainment is Sons of the Western Bootheel from Kennett, Mo. River Explorer invites public to board barge

The only hotel barge traveling America's rivers and inland waterways, RiverBarge Excursions River Explorer, invites the public to tour the 730-foot craft between 9 and 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cape Girardeau's Riverfront Park.

Union County flea market set for Saturday

The Union County Historical Society will sponsor its 30th annual flea market from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Anna, Ill., fairgrounds. The event will be held rain or shine. Proceeds from sales will promote historical society projects. The society is currently rehabilitating a building for the development of a Union County museum.

Harvell reunion being held in Illinois park
