Immunologist offers seminar in Cape

Registration for a seminar on immunology will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the State Room of the Drury Lodge in Cape Girardeau. At 7 p.m., immunologist and microbiologist Dr. Hellen Greenblatt will speak on the importance of supporting the immune system to sustain health, proper weight and vitality. She will answer questions following the seminar or meet with individuals to discuss questions privately. A 5:30 p.m. seminar is offered specifically for health practitioners. Western Swing Music Society holds dance

The Western Swing Music Society of the Southwest presents its fourth annual showcase and dance from 2 to 11 p.m. Thursday and from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Eagles Club, 321 N. Tunes at Twilight kicks off spring season

Old Town Cape opens the spring season of Tunes at Twilight with its first concert from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday. Performances will continue every Friday evening through June 20. Bring lawn chairs to the Common Pleas Courthouse gazebo, relax and listen to the music. Dennis Stroughmatt with Creole Stomp will perform Friday at the first of the spring concerts. Group donates to Resource Center

The Dramatization Force of America, a group of Christian performers of high school to college age, recently held a benefit play for the Cape Area Family Resource Center at Cape Nazarene Church. They raised $450, all of which was donated the resource center.

League of Women Voters holds dinner

The annual dinner meeting of the League of Women Voters of Southeast Missouri will include a buffet at 6 p.m. May 19 at Dexter Bar-B-Que, 236 S. Broadview St. in Cape Girardeau. The menu includes barbecued chicken and fruit cobbler. Sarah Holt, administrator of Cape Surgical Clinic, will talk about "Societal Responsibility" after dinner. Friends of League and prospective members are invited to attend. Reservations may be made by contacting treasurer Nelda Steffan at 1505 N. Clark St., Cape Girardeau, Mo., 63701.
