Library meets tonight regarding boundaries

The Cape Girardeau Public Library Board of Trustees will hold an informational meeting about the library district boundaries at 6 p.m. today in the library's community room. Everyone is invited to attend and participate in a discussion about this issue.

Oran circus planned for April 21 in park

The Kelly Miller Circus will appear at Tilles Memorial City Park from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. April 21. The event is sponsored by the Oran Chamber of Commerce and will serve as a fund-raiser. Advance tickets are available at city hall, Regions Bank and Alliance Bank in Oran, Mo.; Town and Country Grocery in Advance, Mo.; Food Giant in Chaffee, Mo.; and Tan-Tastic in Benton, Mo.

Annual MS walk planned for April 23

The 17th annual MS walk will be April 23 at Arena Park. Registration will begin at 11 a.m. for the noon walk. Funds raised will provide programs and services to the more than 35,000 people touched by multiple sclerosis in the chapter's 90-county service area, as well as support local and national research efforts. Volunteers are needed to set up, clean up, register walkers and monitor the route, manage snack stations and cheer for the walkers. Interested volunteers may call Emily at (314) 446-4182.
