Neighborhood group takes part in cleanup

The Neighborhood Connections group will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday at 101 Fountain St. in Cape Girardeau. Individuals interested in learning about forming their own Neighborhood Watch program should attend. The group has adopted Skateboard Park, Washington Park and May Greene Garden and will participate in cleaning, planting and painting at those locations beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday at "Friends of the Park Day." Salvation Army seeks help for storm victims

Missionary Society to hold craft bazaar

The Women's Missionary Society of the First General Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau will hold a spring craft bazaar from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 6 at the church on the corner of Lexington and Cape LaCroix Road. Enter the driveway off Lexington; two blocks east of Kingshighway (top of hill behind Commerce Bank). Interested vendors may contact LaRae Leimer at 335-9296.
