Quilters' guild meets to make use of scraps
The River Heritage Quilters' Guild will meet at 6:30 p.m. today at the Cape Girardeau Senior Center. The program will be presented by Jeanne Poore of Overland Park, Kan., who will share ideas, inspiration, books and patterns. The Fat Quarter Lottery color for this month is a "spring" pastel. Town and Country FCE Club donates to 4-H
The Town and Country FCE Club made a $100 donation to Extension youth specialist Donna Taake for the new 4-H building at Arena Park.

Back-to-school fair meeting at EMAA office
A meeting will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the East Missouri Action Agency, 1111 Linden St., Cape Girardeau, to discuss ideas for the back-to-school fair. The fair will be held July 28. Donations may be dropped off at the EMAA or Salvation Army offices.

The Bank of Missouri held its annual Easter egg hunt at Jackson City Park with a contest for the most decorated Easter baskets. Drawings were also held for meals, movie tickets and board games. Caring Council breakfast, elections meeting set

Habitat for Humanity information night planned
Habitat for Humanity, a volunteer organization that builds homes in partnership with people in need, will hold an information night at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Salvation Army Building, 701 Good HopeSt., Cape Girardeau. Families chosen must contribute at least 350 hours of physical work on Habitat construction projects. Refreshments will be provided. Call 334-9728 for an application.
