Community Caring Conference scheduled

The 19th annual Community Caring Conference on Growing Up With Autism will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 14 at Glenn Auditorium in Dempster Hall on the Southeast Missouri State University campus. The Notre Dame FCCLA has rescheduled its area senior citizen dance featuring the sounds of the Jerry Ford Orchestra from 2 to 4 p.m. March 13 in the school cafeteria. Snacks and drinks will be provided for this free event.

Parks and Recreation holds Easter egg hunt

The 19th-annual Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation free Easter egg hunt will be held March 15, rain or shine. Three hunts include a 10 a.m. hunt for 1- to 2-year-olds and 3- to 4-year-olds, and a 10:45 a.m. hunt for 5- to 8-year-olds. Age groups have 45 minutes each to hunt. Photo opportunities with the Easter bunny will be available for a small fee after each portion of the hunt. Prizes will be awarded for special eggs found at each hunt and are given out immediately following the hunt. Children must provide their own basket, and parents should escort smaller children if needed. For more information, call 335-5421.

League of Women Voters meets Tuesday

The League of Women Voters will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Broadway Plaza, 937 Broadway in Cape Girardeau (rear entrance). The speaker will be Cape Girardeau County Clerk Kara Clark, who will discuss the election process and answer questions. The public is invited.
