Stars and Stripes Museum seeks donations

BLOOMFIELD, Mo. -- Donations or loans of Vietnam era memorabilia or artifacts are being sought for Living History Day, July 22, at the Stars and Stripes Museum in Bloomfield. Individuals wishing to donate or loan items should call curator Paul Arnold at (573) 568-2055.

St. Jude fund-raiser held at Tractors Restaurant

Guest bartenders at Tractors Restaurant will donate all tips received Thursday to the children of St. Jude during the fund-raiser held there. Tractor's Classic American Grill in Jackson and K103 invite everyone to attend. Donors get a free dessert, eligibility to win a 50/50 drawing and participation in a live auction of donated items from local distributors. Doug Rees and Friends will provide live entertainment from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m.

St. Mary Women hold bake and garage sale

The St. Mary Cathedral Council of Catholic Women will hold a bake sale and community garage sale at St. Mary Cathedral School gym from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 1. Breakfast and lunch will be served.

Spring luncheons to benefit Magnolia Manor

The first of historic Magnolia Manor's spring luncheons will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 4 at 2700 Washington Ave., Cairo, Ill. Make reservations by calling (618) 734-0201. Future luncheons will be held the first Tuesday of each month. Proceeds will benefit the maintenance of Magnolia Manor.

Wine festival, art sale will benefit CCCF

A wine festival will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. April 21 at Deerfield Lodge, County Road 313, to benefit the Commmunity Counseling Center Foundation. The Visual Arts Cooperative will have artwork exhibited and available for sale, and will hold a silent auction on select works. Advance admission is discounted. Admission fee includes wine glass, hors d'oeuvres, live entertainment by Saxy Jazz and hourly door prizes. Tickets are available at US Bank locations in Cape Girardeau and Jackson, Community Counseling Center offices, any foundation board member or at the door.
