Family, friends urged to send holiday videos
Family members and friends of those in the military are encouraged to visit across from Bath & Body Works in Westfield West Park to create personal holiday videos to send to their loved ones. The event is set for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today. The program, "Heralds to our Heroes," is made possible by the Southeast Missouri chapter of the American Red Cross, a special video messaging program created by VIDISolutions and Med Assets Supply Chain Systems of Cape Girardeau. The video service is available year round and can be scheduled by calling the Red Cross at 335-9471.
Deployed members of the Missouri National Guard and other Missouri military members have prerecorded video holiday messages at the Digital Video and Imagery Distribution (DVIDS) Web site www.dvidshub.net. Located in the top, right hand corner of the site there is a box marked Holiday Greetings. Messages are separated by state, then name, hometown, military component and current location.
