He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Osh Kosh with majors in geography, cartography and military science. He completed his master's degree this spring.
He is married to the former Myra Nagovan of Menomonee Fall, Wis. She and their six children will join Dahms in Germany in August.
He is the son of Virginia Dahms of Cape Girardeau and the late 1st Lt. Charles J. Dahms.
