SIKESTON, Mo. -- The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission has awarded a contract to overlay various routes throughout Southeast Missouri. The $1,232,289 contract was awarded to Pace Construction Co. of St. Louis. The project will include overlays on more than 20 miles of road. Improvements will be completed on U.S. 60 near Sikeston in New Madrid County; routes H and AA near Haywood City and Miner in Scott County, respectively; Route EE near Chaffee in Scott County, and Highway 80 from Route B to County Road 331 in Mississippi County. Work could begin as early as this spring, with completion anticipated in late fall.
