SIKESTON, Mo. -- The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission has awarded a contract for striping Interstate 55 in Southeast Missouri. The $397,990 contract went to Park-Mark Inc. of St. Louis and includes striping nearly 60 miles of highway.
The striping caravan will be a continuous moving operation. Work zones will be marked with signs as the improvements are being made. Motorists are advised to stay back 500 feet and follow all safety signage. The Missouri Department of Transportation will alert drivers prior to any change in traffic. Striping on I-55 is expected to be completed befoe Memorial Day.
