Gerri L. Bollinger, formerly of Cape Girardeau, was the commencement speaker at Rockwood Summit High School on June 3. Bollinger, a 1981 graduate of Notre Dame High School, was chosen to be the speaker by the 264 graduating seniors. This was the first graduating class of Rockwood Summit which has now been open for three years. Bollinger is a psychology teacher at Rockwood Summit High School and a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia. Bollinger is the daughter of Ben and Glenda Bollinger of Cape Girardeau.
