METROPOLIS, Ill. -- What better place for a comic book show than the home of comic book hero Superman?
Metropolis will host a comic book and toy show in March at the Riverfront Event Center.
Metropolis is the fictional home of Clark Kent in the Superman series. The Illinois city boasts a giant statue of the blue-suited hero.
The comic book show is being produced by a Tennessee comic shop owner.
Among the scheduled guests is actor Mark Goddard, who played Maj. Don West in the 1960s TV series "Lost in Space."
Artists, actors and sci-fi aficionados are also expected.
Everyone who attends the show will get a free poster and will be eligible for door prizes.
The show is set for March 6 and 7, with a costume contest on the first day.
