State House member Judy Baker, of Columbia, says she wants to ensure all Americans have access to health care. She says she wants to run a "snap out of it" campaign that gets people focused on solving problems.

The district stretches across northeastern Missouri and the western St. Louis suburbs to the Lake of the Ozarks.

Former House speaker Steve Gaw, of Moberly, and Marion County Presiding Commissioner Lyndon Bode have already announced they are running as Democrats. Three Republicans are also running.

Baker started raising money to run against Hulshof before he decided to run for governor. She says she decided to run for Congress in December.
