COLUMBIA, Mo. -- The Columbia Public Library was closed for a few days as crews worked to rid the building of fleas.
The Columbia Daily Tribune reported the library closed Wednesday afternoon when staff and patrons reporting finding fleas. An exterminator sprayed the library Wednesday and Thursday.
But the library remained closed Friday while the exterminator applied a third anti-flea treatment.
The exterminator and staff members planned to evaluate the building Saturday to determine whether the library can reopen.
