The 77th National Family and Community Education Conference was held July 18 through 21 in Fargo, N.D. Mary Klaproth with Town and Country FCE attended the conference. The theme was "Operation Readiness". Missouri received a first place award on the leadership notebook on disaster preparedness and the trifold and third place for the trifold for action and education.
Conference attendees were offered FCL training on group process, teaching and volunteering. Nourish and exercise your muscles; It's up to you; connecting generations through family treasures; someone's asking; what is chronic pain; digital citizenship; is there a vaccine to cure rudeness; dress for success; and positive motion were some of the workshops offered.
Judy DeWitz, former NAFCE president, was keynote speaker.
Next year's conference will be July 17 through July 20 in Tucson, Ariz.
