Lamplighter FCE members met Aug. 16, at the Dairy Queen in Fruitland. After eating lunch, Judy Strickland, president, called the meeting to order. Linda Sebaugh, hostess, gave the devotion, Grandma's Dishtowels and The Teacher Above which was taken from "The Ideal Country Treasury." Roll call consisted of each member telling about A Bucket List Item. Sebaugh gave the treasurer's report.
Members brought various school supplies for Oak Ridge School. JoAnn Hahs offered to deliver the supplies to the school.
Strickland announced that the MAFCE Conference will be Aug. 28 and 29 in Jefferson City, Missouri. Strickland and Hahs have the forms for anyone wanting to attend. Strickland reported on the NAFCE Conference which she attended in Dallas, Texas.
Jackie Kurre, Hahs and Sebaugh were appointed to the International Meal Committee for the country of Nepal.
Sebaugh gave a program on how to boost your brain Power, Part II. Karen McLane gave a program from Hearth Fire #34, Recruiting and Keeping Members.
The Council meeting will be at 7 p.m. on Sept. 6. Sept. 25 will be a weighted blankets sew day.
The next club meeting will be at 7 p.m. on Sept. 20 at the home of Strickland.
