John Guild Chapter NSDAR

The John Guild Chapter, National Society, Daughters of the American Revolution, held a lunch meeting June 18 at the home of Adelaide Parsons. Mary Meyer was co-hostess.

Those attending were asked to donate $15 for veterans. It was noted that $375 was collected.

Marti Strickland conducted her first meeting as chapter regent. New and prospective members were in attendance.

A handmade quilt was presented to Morgan Lake by Cheryl Cook and Strickland to be used as a fundraiser for her state regent's project. Lake will be installed as state regent In Washington, D.C. Cook also presented Lake and Lorilee Short with handmade purses recognizing them as two chapter members who will be serving as state officers.

Those members who attended state conference in Columbia were recognized.

The next regular meeting will be Sept. 17.
