Exchange Club

The Exchange Club of Cape Girardeau met June 17 at Port Cape Girardeau.

John King presented and installed new officers for the year: Joe Perez, president; and Monte Kyle, president-elect. Cletus Todt and Virgil Elfrink will remain in their present offices. The club thanks the past officers for a good year.

Douglas Marvin Overbey is the club's Boy's State candidate. He is a student at Notre Dame High School. Megan Friese has been chosen to attend Girl's State.

High Noon Toastmasters

The High Noon Toastmasters 2072 met June 26 and elected officers for the period of July 2003 through June 2004. They are Russ Kullberg, secretary-treasurer; Gene Loftis, vice president of public relations and membership; Joan Masters, vice president of education; and Bill Meyer, president. The members also elected to change the weekly meeting day from Thursday to Tuesday.

Speakers were Earl Grissom and Masters. Grissom's topic was "Who Are You?" and Masters' topic was "All That Really Matters."
