Six members traveled to Washington, D.C., June 20 through 28 to attend the 124th Continental Congress. Some traveled with the Bluebirds and were able to tour many interesting sites prior to the start of Continental Congress, including visiting the Greenbrier Hotel in West Virginia. This is the home of the bunker that would have housed the entire Congress if needed. It was never used and when the 30-year secret was leaked, it is now on tour for the public to view.

There was a Missouri event and as this is the 60th anniversary of the Bluebirds attending Continental Congress, all Bluebird leaders past and present were honored. Elizabeth Billham "Libby" stood for her mother, Dorothy Points of Nancy Hunter Chapter, as Dorothy was a Bluebird leader many years. The Bluebirds are the ones who travel in a group from all over the state by air and motor coach.
