St. Mary CWC

The St. Mary Council of Catholic Women met May 15 in Maria Haus. Miranda Crayne, a new member, was introduced.

Libby Beussink, Emma Beel and Geri Bradshaw, youth group members, led the rosary. Sierra Sams, assisted by her mother, Heather Sams, crowned the statue of Mary.

Msgr. Richard Rolwing will celebrate his last Mass at the parish picnic on June 1 at Deerfield, Mo. Help is needed to cut desserts and assist with the food at the picnic.

Margie Huber of the organization commission reported on the Spring Assembly held in Springfield, Mo., April 25 and 26. She told of the mentoring program presented by Father Lewis Hejna and Father Daniel Robles.

Current officers will continue for another year.

The next meeting will be at 7 p.m. on June 19 at Maria Haus. Activities and programs will be planned for the coming year.

May Circle leaders Mary Stevens and Louise Glueck and helpers, served strawberry shortcake as dessert.

Xi Nu Phi

Xi Nu Phi chapter of Beta Sigma Phi met May 20 at the home of Paulette Beussink.

Secret pal names were revealed and gifts exchanged. Secret pal names were exchanged for the upcoming year.

Upcoming events include attending a performance by Shane Jones as Elvis Presley on June 3 at Casa Mexicana, and a float trip on July 12.

The next meeting will be Sept 2 at the home of Sheryl Smith-Woeltje.
