Lamplighter FCE Club met Jan. 21 in the home of Dorothy Hahs. President JoAnn Hahs called the group to order. Minutes were read and the treasurer's report was given.
Unfinished business included ideas for programs for the coming year and sign-up for training sessions; information was gathered for the yearly club report; secret pal names will be given to those who don't have one; and executive members will meet at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday to work on club books and discuss programs for the year.
Under new business, copies of the constitution and bylaws for the club were handed out for members to read and vote on at the February meeting. A picture Christmas card featuring each tiger from the Tiger Sanctuary on the front of the card was passed around.
Verla Mangels gave the program titled "No Call," which included tips on how to report unwanted phone calls after your numbers have been registered and where to register all your phone numbers.
The next meeting will be Feb. 25. Plans are to have an evening out. The club will begin with supper at 5 p.m. (place to be determined later), have a short business meeting and then attend the play, "On the Town," at the River Campus. Those planning to go should contact Bev Meyer.
The meeting was adjourned.
