`CLOWNING AROUND,' A NEW BAKERY SERVICE, IS NOW OPEN

Clowning Around, a new cake bakery and delivery service, recently opened in Cape Girardeau.

"We provide cakes for most occasions," said Sharon Pickens, owner of the business.

Pickens said she had been baking "a long time" and decided to go into it professionally.

"We'll specialize in birthday cakes," she said. "We can make deliveries dressed as a clown."

Pickens said she would bake cakes for a number of occasions, including Easter, Mother's Day and Father's Day.

"We'll be baking daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.," she said. "All we ask is that the cake be requested the day before."
