"Babysitting is a great job for young people," said Kathy Casteel, who will instruct the course. "It offers a chance to learn responsibility, make a little money and have some fun at the same time. However, to be a qualified sitter, you should learn all you can about safety and child care before accepting your first job."

The course, based on information provided by the Johnson & Johnson company, will cover safety, emergencies, feeding, diapering, bathing and bedtime routines.

To register or for more information, call 243-5222 or 339-6107.
