The Jackson High School class of 1937 came to together for the 10th time, this time to mark 60 years since their graduation from high school.

The reunion was held Oct. 11 at Delmonico's with 34 people in attendance. There were 22 of the 27 living members at the reunion. The class had 47 graduates.

The class vice-president Martin Piepenbrok presided over the festivities.

Rosebud Call, reunion organizer, said she was pleased that all 27 responded to her invitations.

"I thought that was neat," Call said.

Opening prayer and a necrology report was given by class member Rev. Earl G. Statler of Cape Girardeau. Class members who had passed away since the previous reunion in 1994 were Oscar Kasten, Harriett Kies Abbott, Edward Cracraft, Karl Hafemann and Dorothy Kies Penzel.

Those attending living outside of Cape Girardeau County were Ralph and Marion Greene, Raymond and Viola Kuecker and Norman Landgraf from St. Louis, Lloyd Abbott of Marble Hill and Ann Schade of Denton, Texas.
