Cape Girardeau city government's television show "City Source" airs for the first time at 7 tonight on TCI Channel 5.

Host Teri Goodman will interview City Manager Michael Miller, who will explain the way the government works and discuss current city issues.

Other guests will be solid-waste coordinator Pam Sander, who will talk about changes in the city recycling program, and parks and recreation director Dan Muser, who will talk about the new Osage Community Centre.

After "City Source," at 7:30 p.m., Channel 5 will air "Independently Speaking," a 30-minute show produced by the SEMO Alliance for Disability Independence. Executive director Maryann Gudermuth will host the show, which features Scarlett Seabaugh discussing the SEMO-Tech Outreach Center.

At 8 p.m., Channel 5 will air taped coverage of a mock city council meeting with students from Central and Notre Dame high schools, part of last Wednesday's Optimist Youth in Government Day.

Channel 5 will rebroadcast "City Source" and "Independently Speaking" April 29 in the same time slots.
