CITY'S HALLOWEEN HAPPENINGS IS SET

The Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department is sponsoring Halloween Happenings for kids on Saturday at the A.C. Brase Arena Building.

The evening of activities begins at 6 p.m. with a pumpkin carving contest for ages 8-12 and a coloring contest for ages 4-7.

Colors will be provided for the coloring contest, but participants in the carving contest must provide their own pumpkin and carving tool. Parents will be allowed to assist.

At 7 p.m. there will be a costume carnival for kids age 2-6. There is no fee for participating in any of the events, and prizes will be awarded.

Parents may register their children for one or more of the activities by calling the parks department of by filling out a form at the Arena Building.
