Engineers from Burns and McDonnell will flush hydrants, which may cause water discoloration, said engineer Brian Strickland.

The discoloration is no cause for concern, Strickland said. He advised residents to let water flow until it clears. Residents may also notice some fluctuation in water pressure, he said.

Tests will be conducted in about 20 locations.

Results of the tests will be used to identify areas of the water system which may be deficient and what improvements could be made in the system, Strickland said.
