CITY SPONSORS 500-METER RUN

The Capaha Classic 5000 meter race will be held July 13 at Capaha Park.

Registration begins at 7 a.m. The race starts at 8 a.m.

This 5K race is open to all male and female participants 13 years of age or older. The fee is $6 for early registration and $7 the day of the race.

The race is sponsored by the Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department.

The parks department is also sponsoring a children's run starting at 8 a.m. This 1-mile run is open to boys and girls ages 6-12. The fee for this event is $3 or $6 for those wishing to purchase a T-shirt.

Both the races start and finish at Capaha Park.
