Trae Bertrand, a representative of the public information committee on the city of Cape Girardeau's Transportation Trust Fund, will give a presentation on proposed transportation projects at July's First Friday Coffee.
The monthly meeting is hosted by the Cape Girardeau Area Chamber of Commerce at Isle Casino's event center.
Cape Girardeau voters will decide Aug. 4 on a five-year renewal of a half-cent, pay-as-you go sales tax for transportation projects. The Transportation Trust Fund, or TTF, has been approved by voters for street and sidewalk construction, maintenance and repair every five years since 1995.
The TTF 5 plan focuses on renovating existing infrastructure, according to previous Southeast Missourian reports on project planning and city council action, including improvements for some heavily traveled city routes.
Businesses sponsoring the event are The Rite Group and Murphy Business.
Breakfast is served starting at 7 a.m., the program begins at 7:40 a.m. Friday.
