Power and Light Committee
-- Accepted dedication of easement for the construction, maintenance and repair of sanitary sewer lines from Paul and Joretta Allee was approved.
-- Accepted dedication of easement for the construction, maintenance and repair of lift station access road from Johannes Real Estate, L.L.C.
-- Authorized payment of S35,213.73 on Jackson Missouri electric System Revenue Bonds, Series 1991.
-- Authorized a payment of $870.85 to Southeast Missouri Regional Planning and Economic Development Commission relative to the City's comprehensive plan update contract.
-- Accepted the dedication of easement for the construction, maintenance and repair of sanitary sewer lines from Donald R. and Anita L. Sievers Trust was approved.
Street Committee
-- Passed an ordinance amending the land subdivision regulations of Jackson, Mo.
-- Rejected a special use permit for the establishment and operation of a beauty salon at 1316 West Jackson Blvd.
-- Accepted those portions of Oak Ridge Drive, Royce Drive and Vail Drive in Ridge Subdivision Unit No. 3 as public streets and also accepting the water and sewer systems serving those lots along these streets.
-- Approved the amending of Chapter 24 of the Code relating to court costs.
-- A public hearing was set for Monday, July 21, at 7:30 p.m. to consider the request for a special use permit for the establishment and operation of self-storage facilities in a C-2 (General Commercial) district on Lot #1 of Sander's subdivision Unit No. 1.
-- Approved a neighborhood block party for Wedge Lane on June 28, between 4 p.m. and 11 p.m.
-- Approved the closing of Donna Lynn Drive between Oakwood and Greensferry Road on June 21, between 3 p.m. and 11 p.m. for a neighborhood block party.
-- Approved the closing of West Jefferson Street between S. High Street and S. Hope Street on July 7 - 11, between 7:30 a.m. and noon daily and on July 11, between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. for Vacation Bible School activities at the First Baptist Church.
-- Granted the City Administrator authority necessary to expedite the scheduled improvements of Independence Street at U.S. Highway 61.
-- Approved the Mayor's appointment of a committee to review and make recommendations regarding the proposed mobile home ordinance.
