Tickets are on sale for the Cape Shrine Club's second annual presentation of the Franzen Brothers Circus.
The circus will give five performances: at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25; at 2 and 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 26; and at 2 and 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 27.
The site will be the old Central Hardware parking lot at 350 S. Broadview.
Among the attractions will be lions, elephants, Bengal and Siberian tigers and other performing animals, along with clowns.
This year, the circus is sponsoring a coloring contest. Children who want to enter should color the clown face available at ticket outlets and turn in the completed picture when they attend the circus. A panel of judges will choose three winners at each performance.
Winners will meet the clowns and animals.
Tickets are $5 in advance and $7 at the gate for adults and children older than 2. They are available by calling 651-0691 or by stopping by the Shrine office in the Plaza Galleria across the parking lot from the Grecian Steakhouse.
Tickets also are available at Schnucks stores in Cape Girardeau, Albert Sanders Hardware in Jackson, the Circle S Saddle Co. in Gordonville and at the Bigalow Surplus Store in Marble Hill.
