CHURCH HOSTS BUSINESS LEADERSHIP SEMINAR

St. Andrew Lutheran Church will host a satellite seminar Saturday with Dr. John Maxwell, a nationally-known business leader.

Maxwell will talk about having an impact in the workplace and learning to be more effective and successful. Maxwell is an author who has written more than 25 books on leadership, including "Becoming a Person of Influence," and "The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership."

The three hour seminar will begin with registration at 8 a.m. and sessions from 9 a.m. to noon that include information from Maxwell's book "Developing the Leader Within You." The satellite link is being offered by churches in 1,200 cities.

Maxwell says that vision is the key quality of a leader and tries to integrate technology into the vision of how churches can reach the business community. "We cannot influence today's business leaders with yesterday's technology," he said. "Business leaders won't come knocking on the doors of your church unless you give them a reason to -- we want to equip churches with insight, initiative and innovation to do just that."
