Christmas Arts Festival planned for Dec. 9

The Arts Council of Southeast Missouri will hold its eighth annual Children's Arts Festival on Dec. 9 with a concert at 3 p.m. and an artists and authors reception at 4 p.m. The concert takes place at Academic Hall auditorium on the Southeast Missouri State University campus, and the reception will be at the arts council's location at 32 N. Main St. Children from 12 local schools, grades three to eight, will have work in the festival created while listening to selected music for inspiration.
