CHRISTINA CROWELL WINS MASONIC SCHOLARSHIP

Christina Nichole Crowell, a graduate of Cobden High School, was presented with an annual scholarship from the Masonic lodges of Alexander, Pulaski and Union counties. Crowell is the daughter of Allen and Peggy Ann Crowell of Cobden. She was active in Spanish Club, Science Club, Varsity Club, softball, Beta Club (treasurer), Student Council, band, Press Club, Gifted Class, and was Junior Class secretary. Crowell was also an All-American Scholar, National Merit Scholar, in Who's Who Among American High School Students, Rotary Club Student of the Quarter, Alpha Peer Leader, and made the National Honor Roll. She plans on attending Southern Illinois University.
