CHILDREN'S PAGEANT TO BE HELD LABOR DAY IN ADVANCE

The Advance Knights of Columbus will sponsor a Labor Day Children's Pageant 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 4 at the Umfleet Park in Advance in conjunction with their annual Labor Day picnic.

Dress will be casual wear. Entry fee for all age categories will be $10. An optional photogenic contest will also be held with entry fee of $5.

Age categories are girls: 0-8 months, 9-16 months, 17-24 months, 25-35 months, 3-4 years, 5-6 years, 7-8 years. Boys: 0-18 months, 19-35 months, 3-5 years.

Crowns, trophies, gift certificates, cash awards and many other prizes will be awarded to winners and alternates. A $50 savings bond will be given to the winner of the 7-8 year old girls category. Also a $50 savings bond will be awarded to the winner of the category with the largest number of paticipants.
